They really didn't like Elvis at first

I could make millions but definitely NOT by winning the lottery.

couple updates

Hey guys. So I wanted to tell you what I've been up to the last couple days.

Friday: It was pretty chill. Nicole went to work while John stayed home cause his bachelor party was coming up. He had no idea where or what it's going to be. He took me to a bank and I got some cash. Finally "my" own money.
After that James came to pick me up to hang out. We were hanging at his apartment talking about things I've missed. When we got hungry he took me to Taco Bell. Actually, it was my first time at Taco Bell and for fast food it was pretty good. Very filling though.

I wasn't really doing a lot after that. Just resting cause I still wasn't feeling 100%. I set up camp on the couch in the living room watching Family Guy on Netflex. After leftover chinese food I was done. I couldn't move an inch. I passed out on the couch and that was pretty much my day.

Saturday: That day was way more eventful. I got up real early cause we had to leave the house at 10am to drive for like an hour to the florist which is where the wedding will take place.
It's really gorgeous down there by the beach and it got me all excited.
Here you can see the center pieces. Im definitely gonna steal the glass idea. It's just so pretty.

Isn't it just so beautiful? Who doesn't wanna get married here. We were sneaking around a little taking pictures. Nicole told me where everything is gonna be at the actual wedding. Can't wait to see it with the food and DJ and everything.
All these visuals made us hungry. Unfortunately the place we wanted to go to wasn't open yet. So my idea was to go to the beach for a little bit freeze our ass off and go back to the car to warm up and then go have lunch. So we did exactly that.

I was so happy to see the ocean again. I just ran through the sand, jumping like an excited dog. It was too bad that the weather sucked. It was so damn cold plus the wind - holy shit. But at least I've got to see the Atlantic again.

Lunch was AMAZING. We had Mimosas and one absolutely stunning pizza. See for yourself. The place is called "Porta". It's really good.

After our bellies were filled we drove to Staten Island to return the car. Nicoles dad gave her his car for a bit, so we returned it. We got ice cream and waited for our friends Christa and Paul to pick us up and drive us back to New Jersey.

It was a fun drive home. Back in Edison we relaxed for two seconds and went to the mall to get shoes for the wedding and other very important items ;) Sarah met us there and we decided to get mani-pedis.

That's the color I went with. I felt very summerie. Nicole got two different purple shades and Sarah got an orange red color. We found shoes for awesome prices. I got some heels in a nude shade. It's gonna look really cute. I also bought a set at Victorias Secret for $22. It includes a body wash, a lotion and parfume. Not bad at all. I love that it all has the same fragrence. After endless hours at the mall we went back to the house. We were starving and made way too much food. Also this happened.

I mean why wouldn't we try to put our legs behind our heads at dinner. I gotta admit we had some momosas again. Maybe that did it. We ate our gigantic dinner and passed out in the living room while watching a movie. Not a bad day at all.

Sunday: Today we were cleaning up the mess we left behind yesterday. Nicole was taking care of her plants. Let me show you a really special one ;)

Now all we have to do today is laundry and probably MORE FOOD. Maybe i'll take a nap. Next week is gonna be really exciting. Oh that reminds me: You other guys need to put your google hats on cause one person already figured out what the surprise is gonna be.
Talk to you guys soon.

bloody black and white movie

The state dipped it's toe into the river. But it doesn't like swimming at all.

If I wanted to I can chill by the Berlin Wall, guess I won't get homesick.

The Meadows and the Snow Clad

It's gonna be Paradise

I never get Jetlag

Hey guys. It's thursday, march 26th, 12.07 at noon. Today will be a relaxing day so I thought I use the time to let you guys know what happened so far.

Tuesday: (Warning, it's super girly) It was a really fun day. I used the morning to write the blogpost you've seen already. After Nicole and I had breakfast our friend Sarah came by. She was kinda blowing off work and when she told us about her work environment we got why. It just sounded so terrible and everyone agreed she should just quit that terrible job. She's in sales which isn't the problem. It's the environment and assholes that make it unable to work there. So we were just hanging out at the apartment and had a really amazing lunch. After that we had to go get Nicoles wedding dress altered. It was the first time we saw her in her wedding dress and she looked so gorgeous. We decided to go back to the apartment and chill for a bit. Sarah felt bad for not working and Nicole asked her what kind of sale she had to make that day so her boss won't freak out. When she told us, Nicole decided to just buy something from her and then return it if she doesn't like it, just so Sarah won't come back empty handed. It was so random. It was a win win win situation. Everyone was happy.
Sarah left a bit after that and Nicole and I decided to get haircuts. We went to Supercuts which isn't all that expensive. Nicole went first and I could tell the woman doing her hair definitely knows what she's doing. I got excited while browsing through some magazines.

I think my haircut came out great. It feels a lot lighter than before and also healthier. I'm really glad we went.

After our hair looked all beautified we wanted to check out some makeup at Sephora.
That store is just amazing. You guys know me,
I'm a sucker for makeup. We spent quite some time at Sephora.

Obviously the first thing I grabbed was the super hyped "porefessional" by Benefit.
I decided to get the smallest size just to try it out.
BTW did you realize when you buy 3 of the small ones you pay less than buying the full size.
You're welcome America.
I also bought the original beauty blender and let me tell you, my knock off is shit compared to the real deal.
I had no idea.
The orginal thing is just way more expensive. I paid $19 for the beauty blender and $10 for the pore minimizer.

I also wanted to check out foundations and I had a lady help me. I don't know how she got to work there cause she did a terrible job.
I ended up looking all streaky.
At least it was the right shade.
I didn't buy the foundation although I liked it but I wanted to see how my skin reacts to it first.
Also I'm gonna test a couple other ones first before I make this big life decision.

After the madness that is makeup we met with Christa and her cousin for dinner at the wonderful Cheesecake Factory.

I'm telling you, if you ever get the chance to eat there, get the caesar salad.

It is one of my top 3 meals. It's ridiculously yummy.

It was so amazing to see Christa again, like literally heartwarming.

She's the sweetest and dinner was a lot of fun.
Oh so get this: For breakfast i had bread and hummus, for lunch we ate chickpeas with spinache and sweet potatoes and tons of garlic, and for dinner i had the mentioned amazing salad. I basically ate garlic all day.

For a person with low blood pressure - BAD idea.
I actually felt fine after except for the terrible breath (which i could actually smell myself) and the gigantic foodbaby in my belly.
I was way too happy to complain.
I really had a great eventful day.

Wednesday: When I woke up at 7am I felt this day wasn't gonna be great. I felt dizzy and not great at all. I was always telling people how I never had jetlag. I think this time it found me. Timing sucked cause we really had a lot of stuff to do. I organized my room and all my clothes and cleaned a little.

Around 11am we stepped out and drove for like an hour to do some wedding stuff. We had an apointment near Nicoles old neighborhood. Driving really did not help my upset belly. I was freaking out cause I felt so sick and we just started our day.
We made it without stopping. The place was really gorgeous. Just look at that bathroom.

We spent quite some time there organizing some parts of the wedding but it was fun. After that we went to get my phone hooked up with a US number. I can finally use it outside of the apartment. I'm very happy about that.
Nicole had to make a couple phone calls for work and do some stuff on her computer. Obviously we went to starbucks for that. DUH!

It started to rain. It smelled AMAZING. It doesn't smell like this in Berlin. Since Nicole had to work I used the time to walk around, window shop and check out Victorias Secret. I didn't really like the underwear but I fell in love with the parfumes. I tested so many that I couldn't tell a difference anymore. For lunch we went to Panera, which is also a great place.
The last thing we had to do was the cake tasting. Unfortunately my stomach was still super upset and I really didn't feel like eating anything. I just wanted to stay in the car, have a couple minutes to myself and chill.

The drive home was better and I went to bed early. Things got a little crazy here in the evening but I don't wanna get into that cause it's not my business and also it doesn't involve me.

Thursday: Today I'm just relaxing. I woke up at 7am and went to bed again at 9am. Im just taking a little break, working on this blog, watching Parks and Recreation on Netflix. We ordered chinese for lunch, which was sooooooo yummy.

So I told a couple of you that there will be a suprise. I will leave clues on this blog from now on. Feel free to guess and leave some comments. On Tuesday or Wednesday I will reveal the mystery. It will knock your socks off. I'm so excited.

America, I'm inside you!

Good morning New Jersey. It feels really good to be back here, even though you're still a little bit cold. But you greeted me with the most gorgeous sunshine. Okay, let's start from the top, shall we. I got up at 5am, Monday, March 23rd. I was feeling well rested, excited and a tiny bit nervous. My good friend Klasi came to escort me to the airport so I would'nt have to deal with the anxiety on the bus. It really helped. I was distracted and the busride was pretty chill. We arrived at the airport at 8am and I checked my heavy bag. Everything was fine, no extra fees, everything had the correct size and I even was allowed to bring my hot water bottle with me on the plane. (my frozen body thanked me later on) Klasi and I were chilling a bit outside since there was still a lot of time til boarding.

There was this one situation that made us  laugh so hard. When we were outside, Klasi  was talking about different nationalities and  their urge to honk at people for no good  reason. He mentioned that in Scandinavia  people don't honk unless it's necessary and  how Germans just honk ALL THE TIME for  bullshit reason. The second he finished the  sentence some dude behind us honked like an  asshole. It was such good timing. We had a  good laugh.
Then it was time to say goodbye. I went  through security and kept looking for  something to drink and a pack of gum. There  were three shops which were WAY  overprized. I paid 3,40€ for a tiny bottle (0,5l)  of water. The gum with 1,40€ was okay.
After that it was just waiting around, going to  the bathroom a thousand times. I was  surprised how calm I was. I knew I was gonna  get a nice seat (at the emergency exit, extra  legroom) for the first flight. When I boarded I  was very disappointed. I wasn't sitting by  myself and the "extra legroom" is a total rip  off. You have like 3 inches more. Not worth 20€. I told the stewardess that I have a couple phobias and I might get really nervous. She was very kind and gave me another seat. Actually two seats. I felt really good about that even tho the 20€ for the "extra legroom" seat went to shit. We took off shortly after that and I was surpised how much I actually enjoyed it. No idea why I was so scared, I mean I flew before and I never really had trouble. It was a chill flight to Amsterdam.

We arrived early and my first thought was "I need to find a place to smoke" , which wasn't as easy as you might think. Eventually I found a smoking lounge, which was even close to my gate. I bought another overprized baverage and went through passport control. I was a bit surprised to see that people were already boarding. I had almost two hours waiting time. Where the F are my two hours. I had to go through another security check and they told me I can't bring my water bottle, which I didn't really understand. I chugged the water and had the security check. I had to show them all my electronic devices, which was hilarious cause I was carrying a laptop + charger, phone + charger, Camera + charger and a PS Vita + charger. It was a massive amount of fun to put it all back =/ So I boarded and I knew I wasn't gonna sit by myself but at least I got an aisle seat. I told the flight attendant about my phobias and she walked me to my seat and helped me with everything. I sat down and immediatly started talking to my new plane buddy.

I could'nt have been luckier. This guy travels A LOT for work. I flies a ton and he secured me that of all the billion times he spent on a plane he never had a problem. This man was THE SWEETEST guy, We shared our food, cracked some jokes and even when this woman was throwing up he helped calming me down. He gave me some tips on how to REALLY drink Whiskey and told me a bit about all the places he's been and what he experienced. We really had a good time and I can say that this was one of the most fun flights I've ever had. We had a bit of a turbulence going on a couple times and people got sick but it all worked out. When we reached mainland my face started to light up, at least my flight buddy said so. Btw I feel bad that I didn't even ask for his name. When we got closer to Newark I transformed into a fullblown grinning machine. Landing was a bit shaky but that's okay. I was way to excited to focus on that anyway. Then came the passport check. It was BULLSHIT. The line was just humoungous.I spent almost one hour until it was my turn and the guy just grilled me. He wanted to know so many things and was confused by the fact that I am staying for over a month just because of a wedding. Well when he gave me the green light he actually smiled. I was good to go. Nicole waited for me and it was so good to see her.

We went grocerie shopinng right after which is always fun for me cause the US has so much cool stuff and it's not as expensive as in Germany. I probably said "OMG that's so cheap overhere" a thousand times. They had funny looking fruit I have never seen before. You can see some of them here.

After an hour of grocerie shopping and $160 lighter we went to the McDonalds Drive Thru and got my all so desired Oreo McFlurry.

We aka John made tacos for dinner and we had mimosas. I didn't get a picture of tacos cause I was starving and mine was gone faster than you can say "Lämmerschwänzchen".
After dinner I took a very relaxing bath and went to bed at 10.30pm US time, 3.30am German time.

I woke up at 6.30am US time to a gorgeous sunrise.

Feels good to be back.
I appologize to everyone I didn't text during the flight, I didn't get the mobile pass after all cause I didn't even need the extra distraction. I'm gonna get my US phone number today, so you will hear from me.
Talk to you soon
