Hello friends. So I promised you a more eventful blogpost. Said and done.
Sunday was a lot of fun.

I woke up to a really sunny New Jersey. The  weather was so nice and warm. I loved it.
I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do that day or let's say I wasn't sure how to do it.
I really wanted to go to the city. Nicole told me I really shouldn't take the train cause it would be very crowded and  annoying.
Luckily John A. was around and free in the afternoon.
He had to work til like 2pm.
It took him a bit to actually come to pick me up.
I just really wanted to leave cause the day was almost over already.
Around 4pm he picked me up. The drive to the city wasn't as relaxing as I hoped.
 The traffic was really bad.
It added another 30 minutes to our trip  and was just super annoying.
John also drives like a crazy person.
But I was told you have to drive aggressively if you wanna get somewhere in NY.
Maybe that's why New Yorkers hate people from New Jersey so much ;)
There was actually a time where I had to close my eyes cause I was too afraid.

Our first stop was a Biergarten . It was super weird seeing all these german signs and the food. I had a pretzel and John went with currywurst cause I kinda made him try it. It really almost tasted exactly like the real stuff. Very impressive. Obviously they had beer too, but you know me: I'm not a beerperson. So can't really tell you if it tastes the same. The place was really crowded and terribly loud. Still fun to see and to try out.

After our german time John showed me the High Line which used to be a train station. Now you can walk around, smell the flowers and enjoy the view. A really cool spot I must say.

I still had a couple things I wanted to see. It required some driving. There are always things to see even when just trying to get from A to B. But see for yourself.

Then we made it to a building I REALLY wanted to see. The Flat Iron Building Ladies and Gentlemen:

It's one of my favorite buildings. I was so excited to see it. Isn't it so gorgeous? Makes my art history heart skip a beat.
John then took me to a hotel that has a bar on the rooftop right under the Empire State bulding.
Really cool and a lot more quiet then the Biergarten. After that we went to Washington Square Park cause the arch was also on my To-See-List.

We saw some street performers. They were pretty good.

After that we had one last stop. I really wanted to see the Statue of Liberty even if it meant seeing it from the distance.

On our way back there was a little bonus. The new(ish) freedom tower.

So that was my sunday. I had a lot of fun and got to see most things on my list. There weren't that many left but still...
If I'm feeling super brave I might jump on the boat to see the Statue of Liberty up close. We will see about that.
