Last Weekend

Hey guys, so let me tell you a little about the easter weekend.
On saturday we had the bachelorette party. We got up earlyish. I basically tried on every dress Nicole owns. There wasn't really anything that fit the way I wanted it to. So I went with a dress I brought from home even though it's kind of prude looking. I actually wanted a slutty dress for once =)
But at least mine fit so that was more important to me. I borrowed some black heels from Nicole. At one point I got so frustrated because I'd rather wear jeans and boots instead of a dress and heels. But Nicole told me the club we're going to is fancy and I can't wear that. We got somewhat ready except for our outfits which we packed in a suitcase to take with us to the hotel.
The trainride took an hour into the city. No freakouts happening there. Then we took a cab to our Hotel which is called Sohotel. It's located south of Manhattan very close to China town.

It was a cute hotel. Our room was tiny. We had three beds in there for all the people who don't wanna drive home after the club. 5 people in such a tiny room. We pregamed in the room and got ready, had a bit of champagne and laughed at all the penis shaped gifts people brought. Our friend Tom ordered tons of pizza. We literally had three pizzas left after we were all full. Then it was time to go to the  club. That place was really pretty. It had a wonderful rooftop with heating lamps and they gave out robes to keep people warm, which was needed cause it was freaking cold. But totally worth it if you check out this view.

We had bottle service which means we didn't have to buy drinks. We had tons of bottles of various liquor and mixers on our tables and comfy couches to chill on. The girls were dancing their asses off. I really couldn't cause the heels were killing my calves. At that point I wished I would work out. So I sat and watched other people dancing and decided to just drink more so I won't feel the pain.

I had a bunch of fun just talking to people on the rooftop and at some point I even danced a little. Then I saw this guy of our group who was not looking great. I vanished cause I really didn't wanna deal with anyone throwing up.
Before the party I actually sent a mail to all of the people in our hotel room to please not drink so much that they throw up. I REALLY CAN'T deal with that. When it was time to go I saw one girl from our room looking super wasted, Nicole was pretty out of it too. I got super nervous and even had a panicattack in the fully packed elevator. Luckily Tom stood by my side and tried the best he could to calm me down. Nicole actually laughed at me while I stood there not being able to breath. I think that was the first time I actually got REALLY pissed at her. Phobias are no joke people. So we got to the hotel room and everyone was eating left over pizzas. The drunk girls went to sleep and I was watching everyone like a hawk. After a bit Cathy (the super drunk) got up and sat on her bed. That's when I ran. She didn't go to the bathroom but she didn't go back to sleep either. So I was waiting for a while in the hall. When she passed out again I slowly returned to my bed, got the pillows and the blanket and put it on the floor in the hall. I just didn't wanna see anyone. It was super uncomfortable and extremely cold. My entire body was shaking because I was freezing. I had no choice but go back to bed. I waited and watched everyone for another hour and then passed out around 6am.
I gotta say, I didn't really had that much fun. I couldn't dance because of the heels. People got wasted so my phobia senses were tingling. Really not what I wanted. Maybe i should have been the drunkest person at the party. I probably wouldn't have cared about other stuff that much.
The next morning everyone felt fine. No sight of hangovers. We decided to have brunch after checkout. It was at a place called Essex. They had an easter special and nothing but that. You basically chose a meal and you get 3 alcoholic drinks with that for $30. If you didn't want drinks you still had to pay the 30 bucks. I just wanted eggs and bacon. Paying 30 bucks for that was kinda bullshit. Nicole got me covered so I wasn't as pissed off anymore. The food actually was delcious. My eggs came with a garden salad, potatos and bacon. Yummy.
After brunch Nicole, her sister and I went to their parents house in Staten Island. I couldn't wait to see her family again, especially her dad. He's the kind of guy you're scared of at first. His voice has always the same tone, it doesn't change. His facial expression is also always the same. But he has this kind of sense of humor that cracks you up. He's not even trying to be funny or make a joke, he's all serious and still he's hilarious.
So we got there, and they had snack food. I couldn't resist even though we just had brunch. It was a variety of antipasto. So good. The main course was lamb chops, with rosemary potatos, salad and green beans. So good. But it was really hard for me to eat more. Oh gosh, then came dessert.
Two different cakes. One was chocolate cake the other one was the Hartmans traditional lamb cake. See here.

I don't really know what was in there but the coating was coconut. I can't believe I got the cake to stay down. Mir kam es echt zu den Ohren raus. I was so figgin full, I couldn't move.

I wasn't the only one who felt like this.
We had some fun conversations and some deep ones too, mainly about cops in the States.
Crazy shit going on there.
Nicole's step mom LOVES me.
I think if she could, she would adopt me right away.
I feel so welcome in this family.
Basically every family so far was extremely kind and sweet.
So basically we just chilled on the couch resting our tummys til the sun set.
We drove back home to Jersey and didn't really do anything.
It was a long weekend with only a little sleep.
I was really glad that I was home and had nothing to do.

On monday Nicole woke up sick and she worked from home. I cleaned the kitchen and living room. Like REALLY cleaned it. You know me, I love that stuff. After I just chilled for the rest of the day, talked to my german friends on teamspeak and watched the office.
Nothing exciting.
Today (tuesday) I'm gonna do my class schedule for school and do some more chillin. The weather is kinda greyish which makes me feel super tired. We'll see. Maybe i'll find something cool to do.
I definitely wanna get some books. Maybe John wants to go to the bookstore.
I'll talk to you later when there's something to talk about. See ya.
